A pesar de dejar un tiempo la paleta limitada de 5 colores, normalmente y en mi uso común elijo también una cantidad limitada de colores para mantener armonía, por lo general el rojo es uno frío como carmín o rosa permanente, el azul ultramar, sombra natural o tostada(dependiendo de si lo necesito frío o cálido) y el amarillo ocre que me parece imprescindible para retratos.

La propia premura del trabajo alla prima muchas veces hace que se me pasen por alto algunos detalles, la respiración de la obra(dejarla por algún tiempo) te hace verla con nuevos ojos pero también se corre el riesgo del sobre-trabajo y la pérdida de dirección. Muchas veces también una obra trabajada por mucho tiempo pierde frescura y se siente relamida. Me gusta y disfruto mucho trabajar alla prima, y eso también me permite investigar sin presión de una obra más grande. Creo que lo óptimo sería trabajar una obra de gran formato durante todo un día con pequeños descansos. Lo he hecho antes pero sin poder concluirla o dejarla en un lugar de interés adecuado.

Siempre me gustó experimentar con nuevas formas de representar el cabello. Algunas más exitosas que otras, esta vez decidí pintarlo verticalmente para diferenciarlo de la resolución de la cara, el efecto resulta extraño, tal vez si posiciono mejor las transiciones podría funcionar.

Lo más notable acerca de este retrato es que la posición hace que se vea muy rara la ubicación de los ojos en relación con la boca y la nariz, es un asunto pot el que debo trabajar y poner más acento.
